With COVID-19 cases spiking and many people going on lockdown once again mental health is more important than ever. According to the CDC ¼ of young people have considered suicide in the last 3 months. This is incredibly saddening and shows just how fragile our country’s mental health is currently. COVID has taken everyone to their knees and it’s normal to feel the phases of grief; denial, anger, bargaining, and depression. The final stage is acceptance, this doesn’t mean giving up but rather creation of something new. Moving into acceptance means we can stop fighting the circumstances and make the most of them. We can slow down, take more walks, be in nature, face-time loved ones, and give thanks – We can be proactive in our well-being and mental health. What things have brought you joy during this time?
